So, it turns out this book isn't what it seemed. My opinion a great book. We could put a face to the heroine. If it were a movie, Emmy could be a good voice to it. We all like to put faces to the characters in our novels. Good read if you are looking for an interesting twist.

I agree. It had a plot going that I was really into and then it turned out that we'd been misdirected the whole time and there was a whole nother dimension. It was a lot of fun. Definitely one of those books you can get lost in. I pictured the heroine a bit older than Emmy though. I figured her for a thirtysomething

Hi, thank you for responding. I originally thought she was older also, however, a few things changed my mind. Also, what time period do you think the story took place. From 1800's to 1960's? Just because of the hardhat and heavy equipment. Hard to figure.

Yeah it was hard to tell about the time period. I'd go with your guess. In the more modern portion there's refereces to cars and such and the flashbacks have a sort of turn of the century feel
