Emmy though the years at the Met Gala.

I made this last night for the livejournal community I help co-mod and figured I would post it here, too. Which look of Emmy's at the Met Gala is your favorite?



Personally, I have to say 2006, for me. I loved her make-up, the hairstyle, the jewelry, all of it. And I know when the event happened, lots of people weren't thrilled with the dress, but I thought it was actually very Emmy.

I have to go with 2008. I just love the cut of the dress on her, and black&white is a real favourite of mine. I loved 2005 as well, she looks so elegant there. I didn't like 2006 much, but I think the jacket put me off the dress (didn't she wear a jacket on top of that? Or am I remembering that all wrong?). I didn't like 2009, I didn't think it did much for her. Has she ever worn red to this event? Because she always looks *stunning* in red. I liked 2010, as the colour was a real 'wow' too.

Yes, in 2006 she wore that white military/band type jacket. I kind of liked the jacket in some shots, and in others I didn't, so I'm still (after all these years) on the fence about it, haha!

She hasn't worn red to the event, unfortunately. Silver, white, black and white, silver again and then finally! Color in 2010 with blue. ;D

That's a great idea for a thread Idolette! (and it rhymes, w00t!)

And that's really not an easy decision I think!
I really love the concept of the 2008 dress, the black and white, as eduquesne said, is gorgeous and I love the patterns of it. But I don't really like her hair and make up of that year so much and the dress has again that "outer bra" thing going on.
Other than that it would have big changes of being my favourite I think.

I think the 2006 dress is really cute, a friend of mine calls it the "snowflake dress". But I also didn't like the jacket with it. I think those jackets can look cool, but I don't like them so much in white I think and it doesn't fit so well with the dress imo, it's an awkward contrast that doesn't work for me.

I loved her makeup and hair of 2009, and the dress had a cool colour and I thought it was really daring because it's really different and not just cut to flatter alone.

This year I really loved the dress, both cut and colour, but the necklace ruins it a little bit to me. Her hair and makeup are lovely, but not my favourite.

I think I'll go with the dress of 2005, I just love it, the way it falls down, it's so elegant and beautiful.

I really hope too she might wear some more colour in the future for the event! And of course that she continues to go! I really like that event in generally, there are always so many great and entertaining outfits to look at.

For me, it's a tie between 2005 and 2006. Ultimately, I just had to go with 2006...I don't know how to describe it. It's just a certain feeling I get when I see that sort of style on her. Cheers!
