I'm definitely going with lostgirl on this. That did seem a tad harsh. Of course all opinions are welcome here, so that's not the issue, but I didn't really like the part where you accused her of sleeping around. Who knows how long the "relationship" with Justin was over before the divorce came to light. It's not our place to judge, and certainly not our place to accuse someone of sleeping around. Tres harsh.

I think she's still a sweet person, too. The fact that she kept her marriage secret to me means that she just... didn't want people to know. She has her reasons for that, I respect them. Just like she has her reasons for her relationship with Adam Duritz.

Hello lostgirl and Idolette, it's nice to meet you. Thank you for your welcome. I do apologize for being harsh but that's the way I feel. Thank you for being respectful. To be honest, I did not like "Inside Out" at all. I thought it was just an attempt to make money that failed miserably. It was poorly handled by the label. I really liked Emmy's voice but I disliked the music and lyrics, just not my cup of tea. I was dissapointed with Dare, though I liked Emmy's performance, even though she talked about it being different from many other teen film it seemed a little too cliche and 'done to death'.

I just cannot understand why she would go for a guy like Adam Duritz? They're like chalk and cheese. Plus he's old enough to be her father. If you believe Emmy's version of events...They met on twitter, Emmy got invited to sing with Counting Crows at a few gigs and within a week her and Adam are dating. It just seems a bit of a desperate attempt to get a boyfriend if you ask me. And why now is Emmy open about her relationship with Adam, she never acknowledged Justin to fans or the media.

Lostgirl, I really hope Shameless is a good series. I watched the British series of "Shameless" some years ago, it was a really good series. The British series ran for a total of 7 Seasons, I wonder if the U.S. version will run that long or if they will try and do it all in one season?

Well I haven't seen the video, but I saw some photos and I have to admit, it doesn't bother me one bit. I've seen far worse on HBO before - I mean, do any of you watch True Blood? lol! An excellent series that does not hold back on the 'adult' content. Doesn't matter to me in the slightest. I've been over 18 for a loooong time, and so's Emmy. More power to her. From every bit I see/hear/read this series is looking like it's really going to get her noticed. And for any young actress trying to build a career, that's a good thing.

Maybe the reason she is so much more open about her relationship with Adam is that so many people gave her such a hard time about her relationship with Justin coming to light that she thought "I better just suck it up and go straight out and say it," and she didn't want any more harsh criticism. Also, Adam is a much more public figure. With Justin, he did mostly stick to the background. Everyone knows Adam Duritz, so there's not as big of a chance to keep a relationship secret.

^ That's what I was going to say. I think she's more open about this relationship moreso then she was with Justin due to that fact that people know who Adam is. Justin wasn't known for anything, so I can see why she kept that relationship/marriage more private.

I actually really enjoyed the scene, it was quite funny, I dont see what the big deal is. It is something different to what we are used to as Emmyfans but I think it's about time Emmy branched out into different roles and began to experiment as an actress. I know some fans have mixed feelings about it but it's really just acting, it's not like she was starring in a porn movie or a sex tape.

I do not know much about Justin but I have met Adam Duritz...once back in 2006. He is quite possibly one of the rudest individuals I have ever met. He was so arrogant and full of himself and not to mention a complete drunk. I wont go into details but I will say that before I met him and his friends I was a big fan of the Counting Crows and their music. Since my little encounter with him, I have since thrown out all my Counting Crows music and hate him with a passion. When I heard Emmy was dating him, I cringed. I really hope their relationship does not last. If my encounter with Adam is anything to go by he is by no means "extremely kind, incredibly intelligent, thoughtful, creative and respectful" in my eyes he is nothing but a arrogant, disrespectful asshole.

I respect your opinion, and obviously you are allowed to have it, but as a mod, please be careful about language, as I don't really want to offend anyone. I'll let it go this time, but we like to keep the peace here.

Also, this is just a general statement. This board is an Emmy Rosusm Fans board, so all things related to Emmy are allowed to be discussed, but... this particular thread was started to discuss Shameless, and in particular, the scene that leaked. It wasn't started as a flame board for Emmy or her boyfriends, so let's try to stay on topic and not use the forum as a place to slam people - I'd really hate to see it start going down that road.

Welcome Lexi and Yasmin! I agree with Idolette, this board was created to discuss Shameless, not her personal life. But I respect both of your opinions. There is no way to know why her and Adam are together, everybody seems to have a different theory on it. I try my best to leave my personal feelings on the relationship off the boards.

Yasmin, to answer your question and as Idolette said, I think the reason why she is so open about her relationships now is because she copped a lot of criticism with handling her involvement with Justin. I think it had a lot to do with fans not liking him as to why she kept the marriage secret. Lexi, I am sorry you're encounter with Adam Duritz was not a pleasant one.

I thank you for your opinion on him, and I'm not saying, personally, that I disagree. But I think many of us find that we'd rather just not even bring him up, let alone cast stones of judgement when we don't know him. It's not very relevant to the topic.

I agree with both points. I'll admit when first watching it, I was obviously like... Because it's Emmy and I think there's always surprise the first time you see someone like that, but then once the shock wears off of you going "oh wow," it actually is a funny scene. I especially liked the popcorn going everywhere.

*smiles bemusedly* Your confusion and questions are completely understandable, Yasmin. She's....different. Who knows why she does what she does? Certainly not me or anyone else here who isn't at least remotely close to her. I find it a lot better to accept everything she's doing right now...it clears up the confusion and indignation. Not to say you can't have your own opinion- that would be ridiculous. I'm merely saying that she has her own reasons and her own purposes. As a sign of respect to her as a person, it's best not to stick the searching hand in too far- both target and searchman get burned.

Emmy's nude scenes in Dare and Shameless do not change my opinion of her at all. She is a grown woman now and comfortable with being sexy. Just because she is sexy does not necessarily mean she is a slut. I loved her as sweet, pure, innocent Christine Daae. Even her Day After Tomarrow role was the good girl type. Emmy was probably being typecast as the good girl and wanted to do other roles, other films. Shameless is doing great and I am proud for her. I think she will do just as good as Kate Winslet, Keira Knightly, Anne Hathaway and Natalie Portman. As for her secret marriage and divorce, she is over it and concentrating on her work again and loving it. In my opinion, she is still a sweet, down to earth and lovely person even though I have never met her. I wish her the best.
